Distance Education Directorate
The programs started by the directorate have gained immense popularity in southern India. From the second year of its commencement, the number of students has been increasing. There are thousands of people in southern India who have qualified for the Rashtrabhasha Visharad and Rashtrabhasha Praveen courses being conducted by the Sabha. The Ministry of Human Resource Development; Government of India has recognised Rashtrabhasha Visharad course as equivalent to Intermediate (Hindi) course and Rashtrabhasha Praveen course as equivalent to Graduation (Hindi) course. Students qualifying for these courses as well as for regular courses from other universities were attracted vastly to the Distance Education Programs. The Distance Education Directorate has opened a new path of gaining education for housewives. The Hindi followers from all the four southern states are now demanding for the introduction of professional courses through the Distance Education Directorate of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha. The Sabha is planning to take steps in this direction very soon. The course material of B.A., M.A., M.Phil and P.G.D.T courses has played an important role in attracting students.
